Tamale Balls - Crock



This may also be baked in a shallow 3 or 4 qrt pan at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

May double and fill up a large Crock Pot or restaurant pan.

TAMALE BALL INGREDIENTS
2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 C cornmeal
3/4 C tomato sauce
1/2 C flour
4 cloves  garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1  tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1  tsp dr oregano
2 tsp salt
SAUCE INGREDIENTS
5  C tomato sauce
1 T chili powder
2 tsp salt

1. Mix all the Tamale ball ingredients together well and shape into golf ball size balls. Put the ball into the crock.

2. Make the sauce by mixing the three sauce ingredients together.  Pour over balls.

3. Cook in Crock on low for 6-8 hours.

Servings: 8
