Savory Beef Stew



1 T oil
3 lbs round roast, cut into 2 inch cubes
2 C sliced onion
4 cloves garlic chopped
4 large celery stalks cut in 2 inch pieces
8 med carrots cut in 2 inch pieces
4 large russet potatoes cut into eighths
28 oz tomatoes chopped
15 oz tomato sauce
1 T soy sauce
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
2 C beef stock
1 T dried basil

1. Heat oil in skillet, and brown meat cubes.

2. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients except for veggies.

3. Pour over meat and veggies.

4. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes until meat is fork tender.
